Claims against Maryland Pools had to be filed before September 30, 2016 with the Commission. It was aimed to make it eligible to pay from the Guaranty Fund. However, the contractor can not help the homeowner about the insurance claim, negotiate it with an insurance company, or cooperate with the homeowner to discuss coverage on the insurance policy.
